Christmas Cards & Teacher Gifts

I wasn't sure if I was going to do cards this year, but I decided I could manage if I designed something that could be mass-produced really easily.

Elsa started preschool this year, so I needed teacher gifts as well. I used the same card design, but switched out the sentiment. I put it in a glassine envie with an ornament that Elsa painting by herself and a candy cane. (Classroom teachers got a little gift card, too.)

For the inside message, Elsa told me what to write and I printed little inserts that she then addressed and signed.

Here is what she wrote for her teachers:

"You're great! You are fun because you do crafts with me! I like when you help me with crafts. You are nice! I hope you like the ornament. I want it to be on your Christmas tree so it can be beautiful. Actually, it's already beautiful because it has sparkles, that's why it's pretty."
She also has daily swim instructors, so here is her message to them:

"I like swimming with you! You are fun. You teach me how to swim. I can jump and swim by myself because it's fun! My swim teachers are nice! I made this ornament for you. It has red berries AND green! I'm giving it to you. I really hope you like it!"

These cards were FAST to make! Really, the scallop punching was the most time-consuming. I'm pretty slow and I made my first batch of these, 25, in a couple of hours. Even counting the constant interruptions by the kids and husband!
