Wanna have a good laugh?

Hey, would you like to see my First Papercrafting Projects, circa 2006?

This blog entry comes with a drinking game....take a shot every time you spot Fun Fur! (I had a serious Fun Fur problem for a while there.) Plus, the alcohol will make the cards look much better.

I apologize for the photography, but you don't want to see the details, trust.

Here is my very first swap card: (Fun Fur - Drink!)

This was my second swap card. This one has too much stuff everywhere, but I still think that the flower bouquet is kind of a cute idea.

Next, I joined a swap for a bag and a tag. (Fun Fur! - Drink!)

This group was a swap where we exchanged stamped images and had to make cards from them. The images that I received were difficult to work with, but that doesn't excuse this level of ugly. (Fun Fur! - Drink!)

Finally, the hottest mess of all. My bff must have done something terrible, because this is the card that I sent to her. I call it "suspender boob":

Everywhere your eye wanders on this card, you say "No! Why!? Why the side boob? Why the suspender? Why the orange distressing in the middle of everything?" At least I left the Fun Fur alone on that one.

If you would like to post your first or worst, please link back so we can all enjoy them!

Oh my goodness, Krystie Lee, you had me laughing. I don't think I have any photos of my early stuff and I am glad! Does it count if I drank hot cocoa with a splash of Bailey's? Happy Thanksgiving :)

What makes me laugh is that I used the very same pink/olive green striped paper for one of my earliest projects - a batch of shower invitations. Fortunately I hadn't discovered stamping at that point (it would have only added to the damage). But, yes, thank goodness we grow into our styles.

suspender boob!!??!?!?! Bwaahaaahaaa!

Thanks. I needed that.

Unfortunately, I don't have photos from the early days. We only had dial-up so I didn't start posting cards to SCS until my fun fur and fiber phase was over.

Oh, the messes I made. And I was so proud of them. But shouldn't we be proud? I mean, we're creating. And nothing could be worse than the worst card ever posted to SCS's gallery. Was it Bluebear's foil flower? Ahhhhh, my eyes!!!!!

OMG that is hysterical! Thanks so much for making me laugh so hard. I will have to dig up some of my old cards - they're pretty bad too!!

Too funny! You have definitely come a long way!

I started stamping after the fun fur craze. Hope that is not a trend that returns! LOL

I just found this post, Krystie Lee...sooo funny! Not only were my initial creations from any sketch known to man...they were so LARGE! Like, "take a piece of cardstock and fold it in half LARGE!" More room to put every item you purchased at the local craft store on at once, hee!

Thankfully this shows that there is still hope for me! :) I can't help but laugh - and I'm still laughing about the telemarketer call below...

Oh my goodness. . . I just stumbled on your blog from a link on facebook by Julie (HRR) and I'm so glad I did. You creations are adorable but these oldies and your commentary are hilarious! Thanks for the laugh. p.s. My starting cards looked a whole lot like yours. My mom is a knitter and would bring me scraps of fun furr for my cards. :)
