Something old, something new

It's a dreary, rainy day here. Our family has been lounging all day. (I'm still in my pajamas at 3:30!) Since we were just hanging out, I had some time to stamp and made a record THREE cards in one day! I'm a ridiculously slow crafter, so this was exciting. I should trickle them out over the course of the week, but I don't want to wait! :)

What I tried to do with each of these cards is combine something from the new A Muse release with some of my older favorite A Muse stuff.

First, I wanted to participate in the A Muse Lounge monthly challenge. It's one that I always try to make time for, since you have a whole month to participate. They have a round-up and prizes, too. The theme for this month's challenge is "Octoberfest".

First, I made this sweet little "nuts about you" card.......



The Acorn stamp is new, and I paired it with the "nuts about you" sentiment, Big Bl stamps (the background block), and the latte' notecards.

On to the next card......

Although it's pretty trendy, I've resisted buying Flower Soft because it just didn't really fit in with my preferred CAS look. However, I saw the Autumn mix at my LSS store and couldn't resist trying it out.

I stamped the Big Bl background in yellow, then stamped the Birch Trees on top. I dabbed a little liquid glue and sprinkled the Flower Soft on top. I'm really pleased with how this turned out, my picture doesn't do justice to the pretty colors. So, FlowerSoft can work with CAS cards, it's all about moderation. I popped it on a Paprika notecard and finished with the new Happy Thanksgiving Script stamp.



I stumbled on Dawn's challenge to use stickles on a card, which was perfect, because I already had the idea for this card:



The sentiment is from the new set Classic Numbers, and the exclamation point is from the coordinating set, Classic Alpha. I used the new Lime Shimmer Couture paper. I rimmed the glass of the Margarita stamp with stickles.
