There She Goes - Guest Designer Farewell

I want to thank Jessica and her DT for a fun month as Guest Designer at There She Goes. I had a great time!

I have one last project to share. I've been wanting to try making my own sugar scrub for a while, now. I use a lot of it, and it can be expensive. I thought these would make pretty, easy gifts, too!

If you Google Sugar Scrub Recipes, you can find more info, but it's really simple:

  • Fill your jar up with sugar (or salt), however coarse or fine you'd like it. I used organic sugar that is a little bit coarse, hence the brown color. Sugar is a little more gentle than salt.

  • Add a few drops of fragrance or essential oils. In the evening, I like to use lavender to relax, in the morning I like mint or eucalyptus to wake me up.

  • Add oil until the mix is slushy. You can buy almond oil, peanut oil, or just reg. olive oil. Avoid baby oil.

  • You can tint with food coloring if desired. I don't bother.

Just scoop a handful and scrub in the shower. It works wonders on dry elbows, knees, and feet!

To make the card and tag, I used Act of Kindness and Rejuvenate stamp sets. I used wasabi, kraft, sky, chocolate, and natural white.

Thanks for stopping by!

This is a beautiful project Krystie! I love how you cut apart the three part image to use as single stamps, I have thought about doing that as well.

Thank you so much for being a guest Trendsetter this month!!

I really like the tag you made for your scrub. That leaf pattern is so interesting. Great gift idea.
