Borrowed Briefs

The other day I noticed that my husband's t-shirt had a small hole on the chest. As he was talking to me, I stuck my finger in the hole and swiftly ripped the front of his shirt off. He looked down at his bare chest and said "that was my dad's shirt."

He came to bed a couple nights later in some boxer-briefs that I didn't recognize. I asked about them and he said "they're my dad's." Well, of course they are.

Apparently he had showered over at his parents' house the previous week and borrowed clean clothes, including underwear. The part that gets me is that back at home, he opens a drawer full of his own underwear and again chooses to wear his dad's.

What's your opinion? Is is ever ok to borrow underwear? I say no.

umm...no... especially not your father's.... maybe they were new, right out of the package... should we give him the benefit of the doubt?

nope, I think it is weird that he barrowed his dad's underware. I do have to admit that I thought you were going somewhere else when you started talking about his boxers. Maybe he thought you were going to rip those off too ;)

I agree with Denise, men are weird. My husband does the same thing! His father is no longer living so I do cut him some slack but it still grosses me out!

I just snort laughed. . . My husband has come back with his dad's shirt or shorts on, and once, when I had a was in the hospital after an emergency c-section, he showered there and came back in his dad's underwear and clothes. And I can't get rid of that u g l y wolf shirt for anything. Talk about a bad penny. . . And I've totally ripped a shirt before, too!

Thanks for the laugh... I have torn my husbands shirt off for the same reason and while it was always his shirt, it was still very fun!

The underwear story... too funny!

This is funny and odd all at the same time. Men seem to follow a whole different code of ethics compared to women.

Borrowing underwear? Maybe in an emergency situation. Keep them, wash them, put them in your drawer? No way!

I wouldn't borrow underwear, but men are a whole different breed! My husband went on a week long campout as a teen and he said they just turned their underwear inside out......GAG! Like that made them clean! I feel a little sick now!

I wanted you to know that I literally laughed out loud on this one.

No, I would not have done either.

When I read this my first thought was "Oh dear"..irreplaceable underwear of his dad's... You never know what one might save from his parents... So glad to read the next blog which made me think his dad is still alive so the shirt wasn't "memorific" (I word my sisters and I use all the time).
